Ok guys, my apologies if you are getting tired of all my questions But please know how much I appreciate the quick and useful responses!

I am in need of all of the plastic water shields for my 71. Two questions, where can I find a suitable solution and what is the best way to affix it to the door frames? The FSM calls out tape and adhesive sealer, but what kind?

Find the thickest plastic sheeting you can find, then take 3m all purpose spray adhesive , and spray where it need to be glued. Works fine, and is a lot easer than the rope stuff

Along this same line... If I install a dynamat deadener does the plastic barrier need to be used against the door or not? Just wondering since the Dynamat still has holes where the access points to the inner door go.

You know, I thought about doing the same thing but in lieu of the water shields since the Dynamat is water proof anyway. I was going to cover all of the holes at least until the future when I needed to get inside the door for whatever reason. At that point you'd just cut out the access holes you needed and then add the plastic over the Dynamat to keep any water off of the upper door panels. I think even with the holes the Dynamat would add a degree of dampening. I'm curious if it would be visually noticeable, in other words, do the panels fit still tight against the doors?

I ended up buying 250 sq ft (LOL!) of 6-mil clear plastic sheeting. It actually looks pretty dang close to factory! Let me know if anyone needs any. I've got a ton left over.
