Radio delete rallye gauge bezel
Does anyone else out there have a radio delete rally gauge cluster bezel in their 71 RR? Our 71' RR has one and I really like it. Reminds me of the way cool sixties radio delete vanilla Savoys and 330 sedans. Are they pretty rare for the 71-74 Roadrunners. Thanks, joseph

I'd say they are pretty rare! Not sure how many but they seem to be few and far between. Someone posted a link to a 72 RR/GTX that was radio delete on eBay. That is a vast empty space of woodgrain!

Technically not a radio delete (radios were optional on 71 runners). Here are production numbers, you can back out how many were built without radios from the radio option numbers...fairly uncommon.

That is a great breakdown Eric! As the heading implies, this doesn't include Satellites does it? I'd like to see what some of these packages included. Is that info readily available?
Re: Radio delete rallye gauge bezel
No, I'm not aware of numbers being available for Satellite option build percentages. For more info on option packages, look at Barry Washington's website

Re: Radio delete rallye gauge bezel
according to that chart that would only make 2.2% to have the radio delete. I just bought one here a few days ago off ebay - I can't wait to get it!!!
On a second note man radios were expensive (the non economy ones) I bet the conversion rates on those in todays dollars would be staggering, seeing how my old man at the time was making about $1/hr.

A Road Runner without a radio? Never heard of such a thing!

Oh, and yeah, this is a later model bezel in my '71. It's the only NOS piece I could find to replace the original that the original owner drilled holes in to mount a vacuum gauge right where the radio would have been.

That looks fantastic! That rechromed plastic makes the difference!
