machine gun exhaust tips keeping clean
got my exhaust and machine gun tips on my roadrunner,bought the tips from acrruate exhaust,my problem is how do you keep the orange inserts looking orange drove the car a couple hundred miles and they are black on the inside of the tip,to keep them looking new do ya have to keep repainting the inside?or is there something that will clean them without removing the paint??

I don't have machine gun tips, yet, but it sounds as though the manufacturer didn't use a high temp paint for the inside. If the paint has discolored, I would suggest using a high temp engine paint. If the black is just soot from the exhaust, it should just wash off.

PROBABLY soot. Running too rich in at least one of the carburetor metering circuits.
Anyway, try a mild citrus degreaser such as Zep brand sold by Home Depot.
