Broadcast sheet question.

Post by 71Beeper » Tue Aug 09, 2011 8:51 pm

Guys - did any 1972 & 1973 broadcast sheets get used on 1971 models?
The reason I ask is I was taking the rear seat out of my Satellite and lo & behold there's a tatterted broadcast sheet under the backrest of the back seat.
Trying to read it I made out the sheet was for 1972 and 1973 models.
Now I can't say for certain the seat I pulled out of the car was the original. Considering the fender tag says this has the H2XW interior the seat I took out has a plain cover on it.

Sounds like someone replaced the seats in your car with later ones. That used to be a way of saving money. As opposed to having to pay to get the old ones recovered.

I found three broadcast sheets in my '72 Road Runner. The one for my car and two others. One under the right front seat the other on the driver side of the rear seat. (mine was under the passenger side of the rear seat)

The one under the driver seat was for a 72 Satellite Sebring Plus with the same black seats, but was later in the production line than mine. I figure for whatever reason they had an issue with my right front seat and grabbed the one that was supposed to go in the SSP.

The other one was from a 318 "Grandma" Satellite and I have NO idea why it was under the seat of my car.
