Another Newbie

Post by Hugh » Tue Dec 22, 2009 5:54 pm

Hi, my name is Hugh and I own a 1973 Plymouth Satellite Sebring I bought off Ebay in May 2007. It is a 318/904/8.25 with a/c. I rebuilt the 318 in November 2007 with 9:1 badger pistons and "302" closed chamber heads with 1.88 intakes and an edelbrock performer cam, intake and 600 cfm electric choke carb. I put a tci tranny . The car has 2.71 gears for now, which I don't mind because I cruise on wide open roads. I would like 3.55 with on O/D in the future. Just got it back from the paint shop where it was painted the factory Spinnaker white. The car had a factory bench seat in white, but I am putting white buckets in it this spring. I also deleted the vinyl top. It was canopy style and I thought it looked great, but rust issues scared me away from putting it back on. The car was from AZ so that was pretty much the only rust it had!

I'll try to get more pics of this car before paintwork. All of these pics were taken just after I bought the car in 2007. All i had done was a polish, added the wheels and tires, and temporarily replaced the white shredded vinyl top with a black one. The interior was baked from the hot AZ sun and had been redone about 20 years ago with red plaid seat upholstery and red shag carpet {ugh!!}.

I Like your car, too! Did the slot mags come with it? Are they aluminum? What size tire in the rear? mine are 255/60/15. The rear now sits about 5" higher since I replaced the rear leafs with MP XHD units. I also replaced the front torsion bars with 1.112" firm feel units and I had to raise the front to match the rear.
