window regulator problem?

Post by landon1 » Tue Dec 23, 2008 9:15 pm

when rolling up the driver's door window, it doesn't quite make it up all the way - feels like stripped gears in a ratchet, so you have to pull the window up the rest of the way to get it to seal right and it still isn't up all the way....

would i need to replace the regulator or is there a way to repair it...or, is that even the problem?

It could be repaired but I think it would be easier to replace it. Sounds like there is a worn gear in there. They can be found quite often on ebay. Good luck!
