tawny gold is brown basically...
here's a 2tone 71 cuda...pretty cool with the 2 tone here- my satty was 2 tone b5 and white....
this should answer your question pretty clear, as both colors are on the same car :D

GY9 or Tawny Gold is a strange paint, it is more of an Iredescent paint with Flakes in it, like a metalflake paint. Also it will change colors or HUE's under different lighting. You saw the Cuda look brown now check out these pics of the same color under different lighting and the GTX is mine and it has Original paint on it.

I love my GY8 but the Y9 cars are QUITE gorgeous. Looks like there's some variation from year to year, though? Some seem a deep rich greenish gold and others seem to be lighter and less greenish (still darker than Y8).
