Bucket seat bumpers

Post by Capsule » Mon Feb 26, 2007 10:18 am

Hi guys,

I have run into a problem regarding my freshly re-covered bucket seats. When I got the car the seats didn't have the two small bumpers in the bottom of the seat back which keeps the seat in the proper upright position.
I dunno how they look and how many components they consist of. I have a photo of a 73-bumper which is a small coil spring with a nylon plug in it, this might not be the same for '71!?
The Paddock holds a kit consiting of a stud and a nylon piece, supposedly this is all I need for my '71 buckets! -Is this true?

Okay, this must be a universal problem. The previous owner of my car had the bench recovered--pretty poor, generic job by the way-- and the bumpers on the seat backs are gone as well. It's like that song that my daughter loved a few years back. . .Lean back. . . lean back.
