fresh air carb?

Does someone know what the differences are between a non fresh air carb and a fresh air carb? I picked up a new 6253 holley the book says it is for a 72 high perf 440 (this is a non fresh air carb). The part number for the fresh air carb is 6255. I looked in the chassis service manual but I couldnt find out what the differences are. I am still going to use this carb with an air grabber, will I have to do anything to it in order to do this properly? Thanks.
