Scott - it's funny that you show that picture of the car with all the garage stuff on it.
Reminds me when I was finishing the inside of my garage and had to pile stuff on and around my car.

Still working a ton on the unfinished basement - but managed to get the ole girl out of the garage for a proper bath. She got a little down and dirty while being stored outside even with the car cover. Took some time and worked on cleaning up some welds in the driver door hinge area, and finally got all the gook out of the rear window channel. Very excited to see no rust in that area! Much more work promised for 2019 - as soon as we thaw out up north here.

Hello Hello! I am new to this forum, please forgive if I have popped into the wrong area to contact you sir!

We are Mopar specialists who work on local cars here in/around Portland Oregon, a customer called yesterdat, 1973 RR 340 sunroof car, and he is really having a hard time to get the sunroof operational. It's not presently at our shop. We have no experience in sunroof tech, and this is REALLY ODD because we've been working on these great vintage muscle cars for three decades. Would it be possible to connect him with you for info on what he might be missing? Why it's not working correctly? He's trying to restore this car by himself as much as possible, this is why I reached out to you. RSVP. And, again, if this is the wrong way to connect with you please forgive. Customer's name is Mike... :help:

You should probably direct him here and introduce himself and his issues. That way we can all see whats going on and try to help him out. Odds are its the cable guide shoe worn out and not holding the drive cable snug to the gear. At least the 5-6 I've see having problems is that one item unless the something is broken.

Looks like I will have some more time for the car soon. I am currently building a car corral so I can get all 3 of my 71-72 projects in one place. Hope to have some progress by the end of the month. Scott.

Did a little bit of work last fall, but promised myself that I would do some work each week once summer hit. A little slow getting started, but hopefully I will roll from here. Got my engine up on the stand and my buddy Jeremy will be coming over to just look over the bottom end before we start bolting stuff on. More details on the build later.

Got some primer on the rocker and door cowl area to protect it until the whole door jam area is ready for paint. My driver floor pan has been tacked in since before we sold the old place and built this one. Time to finish that up! Just needs paint and seam sealer - which I have just purchased!

Cleaning out the windshield channel too. There are some challenges here. I will be working on some patches for these areas in the near future, along with finishing up the welding in of the driver's rocker panel.

That's it for June. Hopefully more progress in July.

Feels good getting some project done on your own car. Hopefully you can keep the progress going.

More progress as promised. Worked on some filler to hide the seams, and laid down some primer across the bare metal. Sprayed some rust preventer across most of the little channels and around areas that needed it. Will wait until I do my windshield area before painting the floor pan pretty gold. Next i will work on finishing up the door jambs.

Emergency brake cable hole center is 3-7/8" up from the floor pan/firewall seam. Center is 2-1/8" from the side cowl. Diameter of the hole is right at one inch. When drilled, the bottom of the hole looks to be about 1/2" from the rectangular indent just below it on the firewall.
