Adding A/C, need help with brackets, pulleys, belts

Post by 71Satellite98661 » Sat Jun 25, 2016 9:54 pm

Hi all, I'm adding A/C back to my factory air 71 with 440 and need a good diagram or photos of the final product, specifically the alternator mount/bracket(s), strap, idler pulley and belts. I have an alternator strap which is 13-3/8" in overall length. I also have a cast iron alternator mount which bolts to the RH cylinder head. This seems to put the alternator way out towards the RH fender. I hope I don't have C-body parts or something! I also have an two idler pulleys; (1) is heavy cast, the other seems to be stamped steel, not sure which is correct for 71. Any help appreciated!

The Alt. bracket goes to the motor mount. 440 does not use the little black bracket mounted to the front of the right head.
