Under-dash shoddy pad
Does anyone have any pictures of how the shoddy pad insulation was installed originally? (1971). I am just about ready to install the heater and A/C box. Would you use something like 3M Super 77?
Re: Under-dash shoddy pad
I sprayed the pad with 3m aerosol adhesive then installed it this is the only pic i have

Re: Under-dash shoddy pad
Easier than I thought. I only sprayed the backside of the insulation and not the sheetmetal. The jute is somewhat stretchy and very easy to form around the contours of the firewall.
