Front end rebuild parts?

Post by 72 RR fan » Tue Apr 14, 2009 12:27 am

I was going to buy some front end rebuild stuff for my 71 RR. It is a manual steering car. I noticed that the idler arm has play. I'd like to rebuild the whole thing. I thumbed through the Year One catalog, but on things, I find that they are not really the cheapest. I wonder what brand / country of origin parts they carry. I'd like to find good quality, reasonably priced parts, I'm really going for OE style, not poly bushings nor the tubular arms and such. Just OE type. I figured that I'd spot something in a few old issues I have of some Mopar mags, but nothing popped out. I hoped to find a pretty full out kit, and bam make a call and be done with it. Anybody have a reccomendation for quality / price? I don't want to wind up with some sorry Chinese bushings that fall apart in a thousand miles that ultimatly aren't any better than the old ones.

BTW...I gotta get brake stuff too..

Thanks,
Brian :?

You can get a whole rebuild kit from Bill at http://www.billrolikenterprises.com or Preformance Suspension Technology at http://www.p-s-t.com. I got some of my front end pieces at Auto Zone.
I said "Don't look Ethel, but it was to late."

I know alot of people went with Moog suspension. Most people got them from www.rockauto.com. Heard good things about the products. BTW, not bashing anything from other members posting other sites as well :D

I have the list of parts needed from oreilly's...you can get their brand or Moog...some pieces are pretty pricey (esp Moog), but my experience with parts is that normally the cheaper parts are just as good as the ones that cost a bit more (i've had em both ways)
