Good shocks?

Post by billzilla » Sun Mar 23, 2008 11:28 pm

I'm looking for good ride shocks, don't need to be ultra stiff, but of good or excellent quality and longevity. Just for the front for now - the rears I'll do later along with new leafs (if it needs them).

KYB are use alot. Everyone has a favorite but I bet more of us use KYB than anyothers.

Summit or Just Suspension carries them.

I would do all 4 at the same time.

I use the KYB on mine and they are pretty good. Another option would be Bilstein's
4th generation B bodys- there is no substitute.

You can find a lot of options when it comes to shocks. Getting the right shocks for your car also depends if you want to add other parts such as springs. Bilstein is usually recommended to be paired with H&R or Eibach springs.

I think it comes down to what do you want to spend balanced with what you want from the shocks. I chose Kong's because they are priced in the middle, but most important, they are adjustable.

I'm very pleased with the performance of KYB's. They are no pricey also.

I run double adjustable QA1, if I wasn't running this setup it would be bilstein.
400 stroked to 470ci, 3:55 Eaton true trac, slightly upgraded suspension lol
