Hi,

Does anyone know where to get a hold of a '71 chrome racing mirror for the passenger door? -and if it is possible to fit on a door that did not have a mirror installed from the factory?
Reproduction is just fine!

I don't think they are availible repop. maybe e-bay, if not I'll keep and eyeout for ya. I just shipped a tranny over to guy in switzerland. A chrome mirror HAS to be eaiser than that.

Or maybe someone here will has one or will come across one.

Usually they can be found on ebay, but kind of pricey. I don't know if Year One is repro'ing them yet, but paddock (www.paddockparts.com, if you wanna know) is repro'ing chrome racing mirrors for $394.95 - probably a little more expensive than buying one from ebay, though. The motto of the Moss family: Anything can be made to fit! Yeah, it should just be a matter of drilling some holes - not sure how these mount, because my mirrors are shaved (still there, but no screw heads).

Hi,

just found repro-race mirrors at www.pgclassic.com , price is ok if the quality is what they promise. Have seen a few mirrors at ebay too, but they end up at similar prices.

Their parts are usually made in China and typically aren't exact. They're ok for a driver but I wouldn't use a lot of their parts on a show car. Haven't personally seen the mirrors...

Thanks Eric,

I might just wait and see what pops up on ebay instead. -who needs mirrors anyway, Roadtunners are best at fast forward :D
