Hood callouts L/R ?

Just fixed the 2 end studs on both hood call outs. Just to be sure since they are marked L and R which is it.

R on passenger side or facing the car from the front R on Driver side.
I guess I need to ask about the tail light lenses also. Which is the R and L for the rear tail lite lenses?

Fired right up and idle smoothly. Ready to put on the road in a month.

BTW just put a 73 RR black vinyl seat in my 71. I know it's not correct but this seat is almost new. I mean near MINT. Picked it up for $40 at the Columbus Chrysler Classic swap meet. I have 73 A body buckets in it anyway. The rear seat had black duct tape and was starting to crack some more.

The original front bench and rear seat need all new foam and covered. The A body buckets for $80 are MUCH more comfortable and nicer even it not correct.

Spring is in the air cause I can speel BB fumes!

Let me know which is R/L on hood call outs and tail light lenses.

Thanks

Chris

Yep-left is driver's and right is passenger, I believe. Yes spring is in the air-finally got the Satellite in the shop to get those manifold to side pipes made and put in. Maybe then I can drive it without saying "What?" for a week!

For your tail light lenses, right (passenger) part numbers end in even numbers and left (driver) end in odd numbers.

That's not just for tail light lenses. That applies to all parts that are left/right specific and carry different part numbers for each side. Even the engine carries this along - holes 1-3-5-7 are the left bank, on the driver's side.

Easy way to remember which side is which is to remember that Eric sits in the driver's seat of his Road Runner, and he's DEFINATELY odd. ;)

Thanks for the replies. I figured it was this way but thought I check.

Dave every time I drive past your house I look to see if the garage is open or BlueBird is out in the drive.

Does anyone have pictures of the tips of the callout under hood installation. I only have the 3 center body studs and screws and don't remember looking at any 71 cars to see it correctly. It looks like it has to have a spacer or larger piece to span the larger distance under the hood where it is cut away. (that was clear as mud)

Cant wait for local crusin to start, there are a few 71 I can check out then.

Yea, I haven't been around much - but it's all been for good reason. Let's just say I'm not just buring the candle at both ends right now, I've gone ahead and lit it in the middle as well. ;)

The next 2 months are going to be crazy around our place, but come June, hopefully things will settle down a good bit.

I vaguely remember this Dave guy....didn't he used to have something to do with this site  And about the odd thing....I'm not the one cutting big holes in perfectly good 71 road runner roofs!!!

Ctownrunner.....I didn't quite understand your last question about the underhood photo request

Ok, now I understand the Q. The hood callout bezels should have studs at the ends too (in addition to the 3 on the main body). The ends are secured to the hood with bellnuts just like the ones used on the air grabber bubble (across the back). You can get them from R/T Specialties (but they're not cheap). Let me know if you still need a photo.
