How many were painted Curious Yellow??

Post by 71y3rr » Sat Mar 25, 2006 10:55 am

Hello,
I am new to this group. I have been over on the Big Block Dart, and Cuda Challenger for a few months, and was looking for a place for this car, but had no luck. Untill one of the guys on the CC board told me about it. So here I am. :D

Now I was wondering anyone could :help: me?? I have had this car now for 2 years and its pacienty waiting in line to be worked on....but its not been forgotten. I will send pics later. What I was wondering is if anyone had production figures of how many Y3 roadrunners were produced?

In the technical archive it says 3,369. That's probably for all satellite models in 71, though. Either way, I don't think any of the high impact yellows are very common. Usually the 71 B's I see are the blues, greens, and reds.

the info on this site for 1971 production numbers are for the whole 1971 Satellite line.
The number for 1971 RR's in Curious Yellow is out there (Galen) but I don't have it (though I do have 1972 RR breakdowns but that doesn't help you).
If I were to guess about 800 - 1000 in that color.
