Help! Hood Turn Signal Wiring - '71/72 RR-Need pics!

Post by rt-man » Fri Mar 03, 2006 11:07 am

I'm swapping the flat hood on my '72 Satellite to a '71-72 RR bulge hood. My fender mounted turn signal markers are moving to the hood. I need to know how the wiring is set up along the fenders and into the hood.

Pics of a setup on your car would be appreciated, or a photo from the '72 body manual or '71 service manual would be great. Thanks.

I just took a quick look through the shop manual, and the only turn signal lighting mentioned is for the fenders.

Sorry.

The only time I have ever seen the turn indicators on the hood is with the RR/GTX hood. If you have the AG or the standard Satellite hood ( same as AG without the fiberglass) they should be on the fenders.
4th generation B bodys- there is no substitute.

I must have confused everybody.

- I have a RR bulge hood, NOT an AG hood.
- The turn signals are now relocated to the hood.
- i pulled the turn signal wires from the fenders
- It looks like they are too short, by about 8-12", to make the hood with some slack. I guess I'll splice in some wire for the extra length.

Thanks.

On the Hood mounted Turn signals. The wires come up the firewall next to the master cylinder up to the hood.

Contact kruzinmoons.com. They have the hood mounted turn signals. I have the hood mounted ones as well on my RR.
