Airgrabber HELP! What is the hole size to cut into the hood

I need to know the hole size to cut in my stock satellite hood...in pictures that I have it shows bigger top hole than the bottom..
Is there anyone who has documented a 71-72 airgrabber resto?

The top hole exposes some of the bracing below that does not get cut. It's very difficult to describe all the cuts that need to be done to make it correct appearing. I have photos of one I'll look up tonight

Don't forget the backing plate where the vacuum actuator attaches.

I have plenty of pictures...of hoods....probably 30 or so from different angles....I could go by what I see and guess at the size of the top and bottom hole....but I want it correct if possible....I was hoping to find someone with there hood apart...

here are a couple of photos of when I made one from a satellite hood. Basically there is no hole to cut on the underside, you just cut out the braces. The hole above lines up with the curve of the brace at the back and is cut a little larger than the brace at the front. I had the benefit of using an AG hood as a template at the time.

I used the Stenger fiberglass bubble and air box....and the now available "china" made orange flapper door...

My boy Tyler is in the last picture....he was very excited that i am putting the airgrabber set-up on my 72 rr.....he likes it cause' my car will have a mouth...
Lastly I cannot say enuff about the amount of fabbing you will have to do to get the aftermarket parts to fit onto the hood correctly....
I would love to do a step by step write-up on installing this set-up with pictures and mesurements....scott

It is a 1964 Jensen CV8 with a Chrysler big block and cable shift 727 transmission....They were the earlier version of the famous 440 powered Jensen Interceptor.....Made by the same company that built the subeam tiger, volvo p1800, and the austin healy.......there is a bunch of other neat stuff about the motor......let me know and I will fill you in....scott.....I have exceded my 256k limit or I would give you a pic
