Frame rail cleaning and care

Post by CtownRunner » Sat Aug 20, 2005 8:22 am

Have been putting 4 new wheel cylinders on recently. Put my finger in some of the drain holes in the frame and pulled some scale and sand out. Have been trying to clean out all the sediment without getting too far too fast. Using a bent coat hannger and shop vac to draw out as much as I can. Figure that crap will only draw moisture and worsen the integrity of the frame rails.

Any advice to assist in cleaning out the insides of frame rails and does anyone recommend and type of internal coating to protect them from further deterioration?

Thanks guys.
