Hood spacing adjustment

Post by morty318 » Fri Oct 08, 2021 1:34 pm

Hi guys,
Trying to fix this gap difference, is it a hinge adjustment, of guide adjustment?, if a hinge adjustment, how do I correct?, loosen the 2 main bolts and shift position, or move in and out with washers or spacers?, Don't want to just wing it and scratch something, any other advice on this job I would appreciate. Not seeing anything on you tube, thanks men.

Yes, you will just have to fiddle with the hood hinges and the hood wedges to get it all lined up. It's a pain, and usually takes some time. Make very small adjustments each time. You may have to play with washer thickness or thin shims to get it perfect. Remember you can make adjustments where the hood bolts to the hinge and where the hinge bolts to the inner fender. Good luck!
Scott.
