1972 Satellite to Roadrunner.

Did the roadrunner in 1972 come with a bench seat and Column shifter as options? Or were they all bucket and floor?
Trying to clone my Satellite and trying to figure out if I can keep the bench for now. Also if I posted my vin what information could I get from it besides production location. I don’t have the fender tag so I’m not sure what options mine came with originally.

The only thing you can get from the VIN number is (as you mentioned) the build plant, and the engine.

Yes, road runners were built with bench seats and column shift.
AKA Butterscotch71....the road runner nest is out to win you over this year!Image

Is there anyway to find out the options my car came with?

Just a thorough inspection of your car will show most of the options that were on it - unless someone added them in the past. A/C came with extra holes in the firewall - with an A/C controller and extra venting in the dash. Looks like I see the fender mounted turn signals, and some chrome racing mirrors in the picture. Even the AM radio was technically an option - with most cars having them. The center console with floor shift was optional. Your car with a missing fender tag is a perfect candidate for doing a Road Runner tribute. Have fun with it!
Scott.
