Trying to find a missing piece

Post by Chabusey » Tue Sep 03, 2019 9:48 am

Hi, I need help finding/naming a piece on a 72 satellite. The piece that is missing on mine is the panel between the front bumper and the hood. It has the emblem sitting on it. Does anyone know what that is called and/or where I can find one on the web?

That part is called the header panel. Don't think they are reproduced, and I'm not 100% sure, but I think the '72 part might be a little different than that of a '71. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I am seeing some listed when I do a search... no new ones coming up, so I don't think they are reproduced. Used ones say '71 AND '72, so hopefully I am wrong about them being different for the two years.

Don't take this down as gospel - but I think the header panel is the same for 1971 and 1972. The only difference is the emblem that goes in the recess of the panel. For 1971, the emblem is the basic Plymouth emblem. For 1972, the emblem is a disc that completely fills the recessed area. Scott.
