Air Grabber mounting hole locations

Post by 71Beeper » Wed Mar 13, 2019 6:51 am

Guys; I'm in need of the mounting hole diagram for the Air Grabber setup.
I need to drill the mounting holes in my hood and need to know the correct positions as well as the correct position for the opening.
Anybody have that info?
The pics that I have seen online - the dimensions are blurry.

Wish I still had my stock one .Are you using the aftermarket kit? If so maybe you could comment on how the parts appear , like cheaply made or nice?

I bought an aftermarket setup from Stinger fiberglass.
Reviews on it says it's the best one for being aftermarket.
Here's the web page photo.

My only question now is about all the underside of hood components .I didn't see them being made by Stinger ,maybe another company will match up their stuff with that bubble?

no problem. When I get to building a new hood for my car I will lay out a pattern for the holes for future use. Thats going to be a couple years yet though.

72RoadRunnerGTX - I layed out the locations of the opening and the mounting holes on my hood.
Are the mounting hole sizes listed go thru the top of the hood or are they meant to be access holes from the underside only?
To me.... the 3/8" dia & 13/16" dia holes seem large.

The four holes across the rear are larger, bell nuts were used there. There are a few locations where the under structure will need access holes. Other than the four across the rear, all other stub nuts secured the bubble to the outer skin only.

I own a stinger hood with airgrabber setup - its non functional - I'd never have bought it knowing the amount of work I had to do to make it functional. Its more for cosmetic purposes, for those thinking about buying one and making it functional - just get a proper one...
