73-74 LCA bump stops?

Post by patrick » Fri Sep 21, 2018 8:01 pm

I'm replacing all my suspension parts with MOOG. Yes, rubber! Please don't judge, lol. ANYWAY, I'm having a hard time finding the LCA bump stops for '73-74. Does Moog not reproduce this?

Yes, I'm aware I can use the poly ones, I'm aware the previous year probably bolts on, as does some Silverado bump stop; however, I'm just looking for the correct and/or correct-looking part because of my OCD getting in the way of progress, so...

Do they make it?

Thanks, everyone!

I just recently bought a couple from O reilys. They look like the originals from my 71.

I believe the 73-74 are different than the 71-72, as I can only find the part # up to 72, nothing after. But I guess if it bolts on...

OMG, O'Reilly's actually has it. It's not a MOOG part (who doesn't appear to make it at all), but Rare Parts brand. And yes, it is a different part #, looks different, etc., but correct for 73-74! I'm happy, thanks! Being as how my girlfriend works there, it's odd I didn't think of using them.

Oh really. I had been using my buddy's lift to adjust the torsion bars, when we discovered the broken bump stop. He told me that we would change the oil when I got the stops. I never used wix filters before and the guy at the counter referenced one to replace my ph8a. Well the filter I got was about 3/4 inch bigger and it wouldn't have fit behind the headers, so another run back to the store. Different guy at the counter found the replacement.
