1973 Satellite Kframe question

Post by ralley72 » Sat Jul 21, 2018 11:30 am

Curious what this part is for on a 73 Satellite I have. Its mounted on the drivers side on the rear K-frame bolt. Looks almost like a splash shield, but I don't think so. I have had several of these cars and this is the first time I have seen this.

That is a rubber cushion that separates the body from the frame. They started with the 73 models to make them quite and ride smother. Or are you talking about the big plate?

Yes the plate under the ISO bushing. its painted the same color as the body. Its between the bottom metal washer and the K-frame.
