Hi there. I am looking for info on the 1974 Plymouth roadrunner GTX.....Is the 440 GTX rare in 74'? I was told only about 300 were made in total. Also...was there any GTX emblems on the GTX?
I think the early 74s had the strobe stripe transfering into the solid stripe and the later ones were solid across the roof going into the stripe....a RR sticker dead center of the hood, same sticker on the deck lid and the 440 cid stickers on each side of the louvered...non vented bulge hood....is this all correct?

Thanks guys!

Yes, there were 386 74 RRGTXs shipped to the USA marketplace, with a few more likely shipped off to Canada and International markets. I think you are right on with most of your stripe descriptions - but I will defer to 74 experts. When you say hood - I think you mean the RR emblem/sticker goes on the header panel just behind the grill. When you ordered the 440 on the Road Runner the model name became Road Runner GTX and you got GTX emblems on the power bulge hood - but not on the quarter panels. Also no GTX emblems on the panel above the glove box or on the deck lid. Again - I think I am correct on most of this - I defer to the 74 experts.
