Anyone have a picture of what direction these go? I got a replacement decal for my road runner. Looking for some clarification. Thanks.

It goes left to right, as when you first open the door. The door jam would have the tire pressure decal. Hope this helps

Actually, it should be oriented top to bottom with the bottom of the tag facing toward the interior (I assume we're talking about a 71?)

I have some pics that I can look up tonight - but I think Eric is right. I will get back to you.

I knew there was some reason I had trouble puting the pic on. Just ask a question and someone will get back to you in six months or so. (not your eyes, I know its blurry)

Sorry it took me so long to get back. Here are 3 71 Plymouth B-body stickers, all in the same spot.

Refresh my memory....what were the differences between the standard decals and the typed ones??

Typically, if the decal has the typed style VIN, then it usually meant that the car was pulled from the assembly line for some reason or another. Some reasons might be: accidental dings or scratched, wrong part installed, sunroof installation, etc.

Could someone show the two different style decals, please? Typed, and standard.

The pictures above with the yellow door and the black door are the typical fonts for the door sticker. The white door has the typed style font.
Scott.

Now THAT is interesting....

I have a 70 BS23 car that has the typed VIN and such on the door....the tail panel on the car states its a "Barracuda"....definitely a screw up from factory....and what you are saying, fits perfectly.....Thanks!!

That should make it more valuable. Kind of like having the buffalo/indian head on nickel facing the wrong direction.

Yes, I would think it makes it more unique. The inner structure of my trunk lid had something square fall on it at the factory before it was joined with the skin, and they didn't try to fix it and still used it.

I don't know, that might have been the result of being a Friday built car?
