Re: Gas Tank
Looks just like mine as best I can see with it in the car.
Raises a question for me:
How are the filler neck and pickup/sender assemblies attached? I can't see any evidence of screws on mine? Maybe it's in my service manual?

Re: Gas Tank
The filler neck goes in a large "o-ring" type seal, sender is held in the side with a gasket and large lock ring that holds it in. All should come with a kit, I think. If you have the manual or parts catalog, it's in section 14, fuel. Both have pictures of what I'm talking about71_bronze_gtx wrote:Looks just like mine as best I can see with it in the car.

Re: Gas Tank
I have both 71 and 72 manuals, and neither one has a decent picture of the filler neck or the sender installations. However, a friend of mine showed me samples of both.
The piece they call a ground clip - this thing appears to make an electrical ground "jumper" around the short section of hose between the fuel line heading to the engine and the tube stub at the tank. I can't spot any ground clip on my tank, but the gauge works.
