Question all knowing Mopar folks..

I see from the wiring diagram that it has all four headlights as hi/lo beam on the 72 SSP... Is there any legal or safety reason that I could not change it to the outside being hi/lo beam and the inner two as low beam only? The diagrams i see for the conversion relay kit always show the inner two being the high beams and the outside low. Or does it matter?? I am of the opinion that with 4 lights on high beam with two being amber it will look off. The reason is to do a rally style with the inner two amber and the outer two clear.

I am having a hard time remembering if the stock light switch has a half set and full open position? I could do something like half click is low beam inner lights, full extension is outside low and the switch for low to high, with the inner two off. I guess I'am trying to add fog lights but not add any actual phyiscal lights to the car.

Like this: Not a B-body but you get the idea 8)

I don't think it matters which are the high beam and which are low beam, but I'm no expert, but I will say this..... any time you use a colored light you lose brightness cause the bulbs are painted which filters some of the light.

Another thing to ponder is some states might not allow you to run a colored light like the one you posted. Guess do your homework first then go from there.

Yeah from what I found, it doesn't look like SC is one of those states unless its an actual fog lamp. No worries. Thanks for the replies all.
