Just picked up a `71 road runner 340 sunroof car and trying to decode the fender tag. Is the sunroof code on there?

The letter "N" is the engine accessories, If you have the build sheet you will see what options are in what letter section. It's possible it could have been installed on the dealer level. LETS SEE SOME PICS!!!!!

It sucks but at this point I`m pretty sure it`s NOT a factory sunroof car but I did contact Jimmy and sent him the fender tag info so we`ll see what he says.

Does it have the vinyl top trim or at least the holes for it? Sunroof cars had vinyl tops.

If it wasn`t for bad luck ...... confirmed NOT a sunroof car. No vinyl top, M51 code or G in VON. Will have to get more info from the guy I bought if from who is the friend of the owner and sorked the deal for me. He tolfd me, and I believe him, that the car had a sunroof and was cut out and is now in another road runner the guy owns. I now need to find out if It was actually a factory sunroof that was put in my car or it was just some aftermarket one. although to me it doesn`t really matter anymore. It`s still a cool car being a `71 340, 4 spd, EV2 but really not worth restoring.

What! A Hemi Orange 340 4-speed Runner black interior not worth restoring! That will be one sharp car when done, but it does look like a pretty tall project. You would have to do quite a bit of work yourself to not be upside-down when done. As you have found out - it is not a factory sunroof car. My bet is that it had an aftermarket sunroof in it. Since it is a RR and a 4-speed car, the N8 is probably N85 for a tach.
Scott.

if it did have a factory sunroof in it removing dose not require cutting the roof the cassette for the sun roof
attaches inside with drain tube coming out in the rear wheel wells and down the windshield pillars....
hopefully you didn't get raked over the coals on price
