I was wondering if anyone knows the production number of a 1973 Roadrunner painted F1. I was looking to purchase one with a 400 engine. I'm wondering if I would like it the original color because right now it is about faded down to nothing. The door jams are still some what mist green. I've only seen pictures of it up to now. What do others think of this color?
Thanks

I hav a '73 Mist Green RR. I too was on the fence about it for a while, even considering the "better" "Limelight/Sublime" color, but in the sea of Hi-Impact or black Mopars, yours will definitely stand out as unique. I appreciate mine more every day because it IS unique. In fact, I'm going to change the current black stripes for white since that was original. Although it may not "pop" as much, it still is a very unique combination (combined with white interior). I say love the one you have!

Sea of them? You must be talking about the in violet/plumb crazy. That was one of the higher # of cars painted with it. Some of the other hi impact colors where low. Take my 71 for instance, It is FJ6 (sassy grass green) and only about 250 1971 road runners where painted with it. It depends on what year/car you are talking i guess. I also got a 71 RR parts car years ago that was originally black. Black was a low production # also around 1500 if memory serves me. Just because you see a lot of the more produced cars with a particular color doesn't mean all are like that. And where is this sea of mopars at? I can't remember the last time i seen a road runner in any color on the street? :D

Okay, okay, I guess I just meant a lot of people (a highly relative term in regards to Mopar ownership) with "undesirable" car colors tend to go Hi-Impact or black. I have no stats to verify this, I was just trying to get the OP to paint his car the stock color. Of course, any year Mopar, any color, going down the road always makes me want to chase him down or do a thumbs up. There is no sea, not even of Camaros, and remember when at least THAT was true? lol

I agree with Patrick that a lot of cars are painted Hi-Impact colors like Plum Crazy, Hemi Orange, Sassy green that came other not so popular colors from the factory. I love the Hi-Impact colors but also like to see the not so popular colors and especially colored interiors instead of black. As far as how many were produced there are only percentages of colors for the model, no actual numbers.
