Sway Bar Bushing woes

ok, I'll try to describe what I'm experiencing with a brand new set of MOOG front swat bar bushings (silted). It appears that the hole for the sway bar is too high in the bushing in car position. When I mount the sway bar bushing mounting brackets to the 'c' channel brackets that are on the k member the top side of my sway bar is actually touching the edges of the 'c' channel brackets. Tried a second set of bushings with the same results.

has anyone else ran into this issue?

Wrong bushings, correct ones are off-set.

Can only find pics of Poly replacements in the correct config, Ebay auction.

don't think so.... MOOG p/n K5241 states for a 71 Plymouth with 7/8" sway bar...... the original bushings did not have any offset....

The FACTORY original front sway bar bushing had a profile like this on all ’70-72 B-bodies, the bar is off-set to one end slightly. Any aftermarket bushings having the bar pass through the center of it is NOT correct for this application, bar contact with the bracket (as pictured above) will be the result of its use. The MOOG part is wrong for this application period.

Just my 2 cents. These are the ones I bought for my 71 Charger when I added a factory front sway bar.

Those are the MOOGs pictured above that are not correct for this application. They will position the bar too close, if not in contact with the bracket. Again, that is not the profile of the factory original rubber bushings. Curious, there are two pictures above of two different bushing installations, does not one of them look to be correct and the other does not? Not sure I understand the debate.
