I have an annoying hyper-flashing turn signal and emergency flasher. I have not pulled out the turn signal flasher yet but did see the emergency flashers as a Littlefuse brand 552/536. I cannot find any specification within the FSM or the Operator's Manual. Any thoughts on how I can get theses to flash at a normal rate?
From Littlefuse data sheet:
Design
Thermal: Thermal (Bi-Metal) flashers are
a mechanical device that operate through
the heating and cooling of a bi-
metal strip, opening and closing the
contacts, causing the lamps to “flash”.
THERMAL FLASHERS
Universal Variable For Domestic Cars
• Universal design replaces most popular
part numbers 536 and 552.
• Replaces 12-volt, two terminal flashers.
• Capacity
– Turn Signals: Flashes two to three 32
C.P. standard or long-life lamps.
– Hazard Warning: Flashes two to six
lamps.
I wonder if I would have better luck with one of the two following types:
Variable: Variable load flashers will handle
a range of lamps as needed up to the total
specified.
Exact: Exact load flashers will flash only
the number of lamps for which it is rated.
These are typically for OEM replacement
applications.

Re: Turn and emergency flashers
Just get an electronic style flasher, It will flash regardless of bulb amp load or a combination of led and standard bulbs.

But will it have that authentic "twang-y" sound?
