I looked at this 71 X last week and decided it was too far gone for me to pursue. (No, it's not THAT bad, just worse than I personally want to tackle). Has fender tag and B/C sheet, but original motor is gone, has a 383 now that does not run. It does have those fancy, rare rocker moldings! See pics at this link and give opinions on value. Price was lowered a little yesterday. Thanks!

There's some good stuff there, and it's a GTX. I'm sure I overpaid for mine 6 years ago when I dropped 4500 bucks on my not-matching engine GTX. mine was in only slightly better shape than this, but had a lot of the exterior metal already done.

Looks like that was a nice car at some time - a shame it has been allowed to deteriorate to that condition. That flame paint job is horrendous. These B body Plymouths have such a cool body shape, but I guess most people love it or hate it, which is why so many '71~72 RR / Satellites / GTXs are still be around at such affordable prices. If I had the chance (which I don't) I would have a place where I would try to save every one I could from the crusher, as I really believe these are some of the last truly affordable cool musclecar packages. I can only save one, though....

Front and rear bumper guards are a fairly rare option on a 71 GTX

Steve (quapman) has passed on the GTX he posted, so the car is still available. In the neighborhood of $4k as I understand.
