Road Runner Nest

Since I have too much spare time at work these days, I've been going thru the exercise of trying to reconstruct how my fender tag or build sheet would appear, if they weren't lost by the joker -oops - previous owner. I have downloaded several photos of GTX, Road Runner, and Satellite tags as referrence.

code M31 - belt moldings. All the GTX fender tags seem to have this code. I'm assuming these are actually what I call the rocker moldings?

code M26 - wheel lip moldings. Were these not standard equipment? This code doesn't show up on GTX tags.

code J21 - electric clock If a Rallye dash had the clock instead of a tach, would this code be on the tag? I don't see the code for clock or tach on any of the tags.

code M85 - front and rear bumper guards. Is this the code for the hard rubber strips that were available? Would it be on the tag?

code C55 or C56 - bucket seats. These were standard in GTX. I see tags coded both ways. Any difference?

code S77 - power steering. I don't see this code on any GTX tags. Power steering was not standard.

The list of codes on My Mopar shows P45 as power deck lid release, 1969 and 1970 only. I have that on my 71. I cannot find a code for that anywhere. Was that standard for all Satellites in 1971?

M85 is on my tag it's a St. Louis built, front and rear bumper guards all plants are different to what was put on the tags ? Eric ,Bruce and Dave will know all the specifics

Edited for accuracy. It's funny, I grew up with these cars, but Dave and Eric know the minutiae far better than I.

Not to come across as a jerk...not my intention, but I will not help someone reconstruct a missing tag. I'm always happy to help someone determine if they have a bogus tag, and I think there are entirely too many cars out there now with fake tags where the current owner has no idea. Making a "better" tag only helps to confuse the issue. I would rather see a car with a missing tag than a repop with no docuementation to support the codes listed.

For the record, I'm not trying to "make"/counterfeit/repop a tag. I'm just trying to understand tag coding.

Besides that, if it's like everything else I've ever bought, I'll keep it until I die. Maybe it'll be my coffin. Just stick me in the trunk and send me to the baler.

I would surmise that professional-grade stamping equipment would be needed to make a believable tag, or maybe the next-generation 3-D printer. Those individual number/letter stamp kits are not going to do the job.

You can all trust me - I'm an engineer. Blah, blah. Anyone know who makes the best 3-D printers?
