Any recommendations for glass vendors?

I would appreciate any feedback and/or recommendations for the best place to by a windshield. I was considering ECS Automotive Concepts but if there is a more economical place to get date coded, wave-free glass I am interested and ready to order. Thanks in advance!

Check around at your local glass installers. One of my locals still had our windshields in stock. Nabbed it for $100. Now I just gotta get the bodywork done so I can install it! Scott.

ordered mine through year one when they have their 30% discount. My glass installer was very impressed with it. The one I got was heavy and he says you can tell the cheap ones from the good ones, usually the aftermarket companies cheap out and make the glass thin. It was packaged well and I'd buy it again :)

Holy smokes, an 8-foot box from YearOne! Man you weren't kidding about being packaged well! I used the 30% off discount but they really get you on shipping. This was truck freighted. Very thick like you said. Installer was impressed. I was happy with the factory-like green tinting and dark strip across the top. Glad to see the Chrysler logo in the glass too.

You definitely want to purchase the thicker quality AMD or YearOne pieces. I did not realize it at the time and had a regular glass company come out and install one of theirs and the thinner pieces will not allow the moulding to fit correctly, nice and tight against the glass. As soon as I get a chip in this glass, I will probably order an AMD windshield. Has anyone used the AMD glass? I really like their body panels. joseph

I used an amd windshield and it fits perfect and the trim fit just right as well. I installed it with the correct size butyl tape from 3m the same way the original would have been installed. I did it myself in the driveway with my wifes help. Really not hard just heavy. The packaging charge from amd seemed high until i picked it up at the truck hub, it is a really nice packing job and worth the charge to keep you from the aggravation of making a claim or waiting on a reship.
