Blue interior color code

According the the 1971 factory service manual, the correct low gloss shade of blue for the instrument panel is Medium Blue Poly rather than Bright Blue Poly. Is this correct? My car was not originally blue but will be very soon and I want it to have the most accurate shade as possible. The second part of this topic is whether or not the paint was originally textured or not. If so, what is the best way to achieve the proper look and feel?
