steering column power vs non power?

Post by RobsRR » Sun Nov 17, 2013 11:05 am

What is the difference in steering columns, power vs non-power? I just bought a column off ebay to use with my floor shift / bucket seat conversion. Didn't realize there was a "power" steering column and a non power column. I do have power steering now on my column shifter and hope the floor shift column I bought will work.

The overall length of the steering shaft is longer for the non-power application. All other column components will interchange. If need be, use your original shaft in the replacement columm.
