What's the difference between disc/drum power/non power distribution blocks?

The drum distribution block is just what is sounds like, it just distributes the fluid. On disc brake cars there was a pa portioning valve in addition to the other so the back brakes wouldn't lock up before the front. Also, even though they didn't make it that long there was a valve to keep the brakes from locking on glare ice. That went away in 72 or 73, but not sure. You don't really need one of those, unless you're doing a concourse restoration.

So I was on the right track, I'll use my original block w/o extra valve for front brakes. At the moment my repop unit is leaking like...

I have read that a lot of the repos leak. I switched over to disc brakes, and hope mine doesn't leak. If you ever do discs, you can keep your original, and just put an adjustable valve down stream.

Oh, just to clarify, the valve is for the rear brakes.
