Road Runner Nest

Hey guys I stumbled across your sit by accident and have found soooo much great information. BUT I still have a question.... I recently purchased a 73 RR that on the left front fender had a GTX emblem (the right side fender has been replaced). It had two fender tags but the previous owner lost one of them (it was the secondary tag). Is there anyway to confirm if this a RR GTX package or a regular RR??

This is what info I have from the one remaining Fender tag

Okay I'm brilliant. I just thought to check in my Dodge & Plymouth Muscle Car Red Book and according to it "The 440 was available only with the TorqueFlite automatic and once again became a Road Runner GTX." So mine would not be a GTX as it is an H code 340 not a U code 440.

First off welcome to the site!

Secondly, don't be disappointed your car is not a Road Runner/GTX. A 340 is a sweet engine and can be hopped up to be plenty quick. I'm sure there have been quite a few big block cars embarrassed by 340 cars.
