rear end swap part 2

Hello, can anyone tell me if a 8 3/4 rear diff. Out of a 65 1/2 ton would fit my 71 SSP? It has the 8 1/4 now.

I never measured one out of a '65. But the later '72-'93 d series rears are the same width as C bodies.
This is wider than your stock rear, you'd give up some outboard tire clearance, and you'd have to relocate the spring perches, and set the pinion angle. Now if the ratio is what you want, and the price is right, buy it anyway.
