Oh, the car was assembled without one. DUH.
Can someone snap a pic of where the horn is mounted for a '71, please. Doesn't seem to be shown in the service manual.
Thanks.

Make that hornS, in plural, as in both.

To clarify, it's a GTX, which doesn't have a RR horn. It has hi- and lo- horns the same as Satellites (and all the other cars). I found Prestolite horns on ebay. They're correct, but I can't see where they would have mounted.

Thanks, Eric. I was looking in front of the radiator.

I think they moved the horns to in front of the radiator support for the 1972 model year. The vapor canister and washer fluid reservoir used up the space in 1972. Scott.

im aware this question has been brought up before.....but despite a search within these boards, im still a little confused. and most all of the pictures are either expired or no longer visible (to me).
Where should the 72 RR horn mount?? i can agree that it probably goes ahead of the radiator support on the driver side, as i have seen this at car shows before. But ive also seen them mounted in about 20 other locations over the years hahaha
does anyone have a good picture of the 72?? thanx

I have a couple of Road Runner restoration guide books at home. I'll try to remember to see if there is anything on '72 horn location.

Duh, two nights in a row I didn't get to this. Valid reason the first, senior moment last night.

Unfortunately, no reliable pics in any of my books. The only underhood shot of a '71 shows a black horn where expected behind the wiper fluid reservoir. A 440 4-BBL car - most likely a GTX. Can't tell if there's a second horn beneath it.
Sorry - no help.

Forgot to mention, there is an underhood pic - from the radiator support back - of a "construct" '72 Roadrunner with a 440+6. The horn is not in sight, indicating it was mounted in front of the radiator support. Circumstantial evidence.
