Need some help guys, trying to install a Grant Tuff repop on my 71 that came with the standard wheel, is this the adapter I need?, this seems to be an OEM piece, does nobody make an aftermarket adapter, Grant tech knows nothing, as does Classic Industries, this seems it would be a very common item...confused.Thanks for help.

Sure looks right. Viewing it from the side does it have indentations in it similar to a coffee can? If so, that's the one! Just got a Tuff wheel for my Runner too. Am waiting to get the adapter and horn button from a friend. Since upgrading to the Firm Feel steering unit I'm looking forward to having a wheel with a little more "beef" to it rather than the skinny old THIN standard wheel in mine...

No, the ones that look like a bellows were for the cuda/ challengers.

Gotcha! Guess I've seen more of those than I have ones for B-bodies.

Yep, the E body one is also longer, puts the wheel too close to your chest in my opinion.
I found a tuff wheel (in dark blue) in an early 80s Cordoba. Same adapter, I believe.
Don't overlook late 70s and early 80s cars, B,R,F,M,J, bodies all could have them and I think I've seen them in Li'l Red Trucks too!

Thanks men, sounds like I'm on the right track, if they were put on that many years, should be a ton out there, going to Carlisle, probably find a table stacked with them....

Be prepared for sticker shock on tuff wheel adapters. Prices have shot way up on them. Probably looking at $100 for a decent one.

Hopefully you'll score at a U-Pull-It yard.

Hello fellas. I seem to be missing as spade terminal and wire on my Tuff wheel adaptor. Does anyone have a close up of the electrical connections for these wheels? Also, where there different center caps for different car lines? Mine is black plastic with a silver painted recessed groove around the perimeter.
