window felts

Post by kenny » Sat Jun 15, 2013 9:12 pm

after waiting about 10 weeks i finally received my window felt kit from restoration specialties, and was so disappointed to open the box and see that the pcs were just put in a box without having anything to pad the parts from one another so all the chrome/stainless parts now have small scratches on them, furthermore when i checked them against my originals the felt strip is not the same shape the originals made more of a "t" with the mteal strip and these make more of a "y" when i contacted dave he stated "This is the absolute closest material that I can get to the original. It has been acceptable to the b body guys so hope it is ok for you." so my question is has anyone used his and how did the product turn out for you?

I ran into the same thing. We sent them back and found some from the other supplier, and they were right. Sorry, I don't remember which one it is, maybe trim or metro.
