Fuel line question
Just got a stainless fuel line set but I think I'm missing one. When I removed my old line, the main line went all the way up under the passenger frame (crossmember). Then there was a short piece of rubber tubing, about 2-4" long. From there, the hard line had a bend that went right up the passenger engine side, up to the passenger inner wheel well, then had a bolt in the inner fender with a clamp. This line will be real close to the water valve. Anywy, that little hard line is the one I'm missing. Was the old lines suppose to have a little piece of rubber? I think so cause the parts book shows the little piece of rubber tube. Where can I get that little hard line that mounts to the inner fender? I looked on the website but they have a fuel pump to carb.
I'll see if I had taken a picture of the hard line and post it
Thanks

Re: Fuel line question
I think your talking about the line that goes to the breather on the valve cover. It has a rubber hose that goes from the hard line to the breather.

Re: Fuel line question
I've had similar issues with pictures. If possible open in paint and adjust size to the recommended pixels for uploading and save as a jpeg. I hope this helps.

Re: Fuel line question
rr6pak,
What you describe is what came on my car also. The fuel line runs up under the passenger frame rail, then there is a short stretch of rubber, then the hard line runs up along the passenger inner fender. If I can locate the smaller hard line in my pile o' parts, I could post a pic and take measurements if you like. Scott.

I dont think its a size issue. It said that it was "invalid". Never heard of that nor have I had an issue with posting a picture before.Uppy wrote:I've had similar issues with pictures. Thats it but I need the hard line. Scott- thanks, I'd appreciate it. I did find a picture I took but getting it uploaded is the issue. Anyone know where to get one?71bird wrote:I think your talking about the line that goes to the breather on the valve cover. It has a rubber hose that goes from the hard line to the breather.

Re: Fuel line question
Ok, then most any of the companies that sell repo lines have those lines. And there also is a clamp that holds it to the inner finder.

Re: Fuel line question
You are describing the fuel tank vapor separator vent line, 5/16", it is two pieces, joined by a small section of hose with keystone camps originally. The extra routing up the inside of the inner fender makes that line difficult to install as one piece. I’d check with where ever you bought the line set, complete sets I‘ve purchased came with both line sections.

Re: Fuel line question
There should be repo's out there. But if not, just PM me with your email and I can send you close up pics and measurements to recreate one. Good luck! Scott.

Re: Fuel line question
I just called the vendor. They do not have that one. They said they could make it if I send it in to them. I thought they would have that base covered in having it or as a added item on their catalog.
Oh well
