Introduction of my 72 SSP

Hello to the group. I wanted to finally introduce myself and my 72 SSP. I purchased this car 13 months ago. I'm the third owner. I completed the interior restoration late last summer and now I'm working on a complete under hood restoration. The car is going back to original with just a few "upgrades". I have all the parts to take the car back to original if I ever decide to go that way.
I do have a few questions later in this post.
When I purchased the car it came with the original build sheet, window sticker, dealer bill of sale and even a receipt for the car's first oil change. All body stampings and fender tag match.

I know that Chrysler Corp. didn't keep accurate records for us to determine, 40 years later, how many cars were produced with particular options, paint colors, etc. I have researched and found the 1972 Optional Equipment Installation Rate report that was published for the dealers at the beginning of the 73 model year. One of my questions is; Is there another report that shows any more detail then the Optional Equip. Report? This report is very vague because it only shows the % for each particular item across the whole product line.
I found it interesting that TX9 black was only produced on 1.9% of the Satellites produced in 1972. I thought it would have been a higher percentage. Also, the 400 engine was installed in 8.2% of the Satellites. I would assume the station wagons would have been a large percentage of the 400 engines but I'm not sure how many SSP's had the 400.
Second question; did Chrysler stamp match the engines and transmissions to the VIN # in 1972? My car currently has a 1976 440, but the car came with (what the previous owner claims to the original 400). I can't find any stampings on the block or transmission. The casting numbers seem to be correct but I wanted confirmation about the VIN seq. # on the block and transmission.
