Uh oh can I still work with this fuel tank??

Hi guys

I accidently bought a reproduction gas tank off ebay with the vents on the front. However my 71 roadrunner has the vents on the side, since it's at the panel shop I thought it would be at the front like my old 72! Do you think there is enough space to get the hoses around from the side and hook them up to the front of the tank?

Thanks in advance

Problem will be peaks and valleys in the hose routing will prevent it from working properly.

You need to get the correct tank if you intend to use your separator.

Or get the later smaller tank vapor separator; fabricate mounting brackets for it to the upper shock mount crossover. Ditch the ’71 wheel well expansion tank/separator altogether.
