Where do you buy your headliner?

Post by dangina » Wed Feb 06, 2013 8:57 pm

I bought a 4 bow for my car from year one and I'm kinda choked. They didn't sow the bows in the proper spots and I'm too short on one side and got a ton of material in the middle, put it next to my old one and its way off. I can't return it as I already cut the new one to fit F***ing BS. Also the stitches are already coming apart  Anyways I don't want to make this same mistake twice so I'm asking for those that bought a new one where did you get it?

I also noticed my car has the holes for a 6 bow, I do like the look better than a 4 bow. The old man has a 73 roadrunner parts car in the front. Can I rob two bows from this car - would they fit my 71? By looking at the painted ends of the bows I would need 2 that have the purple paint on one end and green paint on the other...

I switched mine over also, when you by a new headliner just tell them 6 bow. I don't know who has the best one. I thought Legendary made most of them.

I havn't purchased by new headliner yet but I did put in one years ago in my old 67 cuda which I got from The Paddock. The unit was fantastic. I believe they were bought out by Classic Industries. I just recently got one of their catalogs and have noticed that they do specify both 6 and 4 bow units. They also have a "board" style but would require a conversion and measuring and drilling in order to install with the bows. The board style is about $80 while the O.E. bow style is about $150.

I just bought mine from Legendary also. They are a few bucks more but the pattern match is almost perfect. I haven't seen mine yet that's why I say almost perfect, this is from sample pictures.
