Satellite Sebring Plus emblem question

My GY8 Sebring Plus had Plus emblems on the quarters, but just had the "Sebring" emblem on the trunk lid. Since the car had a very sorted past, I just figured that the correct emblem didn't get back on the car after the body work was completed. Well, the GB7 Sebring Plus I just acquired has the same setup.

The paint shadow clearly shows the Plus emblem on the quarter, but just the Sebring emblem on the trunk lid. Any Sebring Plus owners have the same setup on their cars? Anyone have survivor pictures that shows something different? Thanks for the help! Scott.

looks like our photo hosting is not working AGAIN....all the photos I have of original paint SSPs have the same emblems as yours (no PLUS on the decklid).

Thanks Eric,
If that is the case, then I have enough Plus emblems to do both my cars!

Scott,
I agree with Eric. I have a decklid off a Sebring Plus, and it too is just like yours. Now out to the shop. I have some homework assigned to me by Eric!!

Hi,

Here are some pics of my original '72 SSP back in 2006 before I had a lot of work done. This '72 400 car was all original and had not been messed with (except for Magnum 500s - I like Magnum 500s). Although it is a '72, emblem locations are the same as your car(s) and the decklid only ever had Satellite Sebring.

Let me know if you have any other questions re. SSP setup - mine is a pretty good time capsule.

I have/had several 71/2 SSP's and like stated before, none had the "Plus" emblem on the deck lid.
